We are currently recruiting for an experienced Reconstruction Manager / Construction Superintendent.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Project Initiation: Guide customers through the reconstruction process, ensuring they are well-informed at every stage.
- Project Planning: Accurately define and document the project scope, review estimates, and analyze budgets.
- Project Execution: Develop detailed project schedules and timelines to ensure smooth project flow.
- Subcontractor Management: Identify, evaluate, and engage subcontractors and resource providers, negotiating terms and setting clear expectations.
- Team Leadership: Organize and oversee crews and subcontractors, ensuring efficient coordination and timely progress.
- Scheduling: Coordinate and manage subcontractors and material suppliers to maintain project flow.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all work aligns with plans, specifications, local codes, and the agreed-upon scope of work.
- Customer Satisfaction: Own the customer experience, ensuring top-tier service and satisfaction throughout the process.
- Punch List Management: Compile and address any outstanding punch list items, ensuring final quality.
- Final Walkthrough: Conduct a thorough walkthrough with the customer to confirm all work is completed to their satisfaction.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Oversight: Lead, mentor, and develop project management teams, ensuring alignment with company standards, values, and performance expectations. Serve as a resource for technical guidance and project issue resolution.
- Staffing & Talent Management: Hire, onboard, and train new employees, fostering a high-performing and safety-conscious team environment. Ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company's culture, systems, and workflows.
- Scheduling & Resource Allocation: Organize and oversee the schedules and workload distribution of assigned staff, subcontractors, and service teams to ensure optimal use of manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Performance Management: Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations, setting clear goals and providing regular feedback to drive employee growth and accountability.
- Discipline & Conflict Resolution: Handle disciplinary actions, terminations, and conflict resolution in alignment with company policies and applicable labor laws, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Project Oversight: Provide direct oversight to Project Managers and subcontractors, ensuring project milestones, budgets, and quality expectations are consistently met.
- Service Team Management: Manage assigned service teams, ensuring effective daily operations, project readiness, and timely response to customer and project needs.
- Safety Leadership: Enforce safety policies and procedures at job sites. Ensure all team members and subcontractors adhere to OSHA standards, company safety policies, and best practices.
- Budget & Cost Control Supervision: Oversee and guide the project teams in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and mitigating cost overruns while ensuring profitability.
- Customer Relationship Management: Support and guide teams in maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly and the customer experience remains positive throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements, contribute to the development of best practices, and support company initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and project delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 15+ years of construction experience.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a team of two or more.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.
