HR Business Partner, Operations

Position Summary
Premier Restoration Hawaii is seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Business Partner to serve as the primary day-to-day HR partner for our operational leaders and employees.
This role combines manager consultation with direct HR execution. You will advise leaders, coach managers, resolve employee issues, identify risk, and recommend practical solutions. You will also personally manage the documentation, coordination, HRIS updates, tracking, and follow-through required to complete the work.
This is an ideal opportunity for a strong Senior HR Generalist, hands-on HR Manager, or developing HR Business Partner who enjoys being close to the business and making things happen.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise and coach managers on performance, attendance, conduct, employee concerns, and workforce decisions.
- Independently manage employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
- Provide clear recommendations and partner with the Chief People Officer on complex or high-risk matters.
- Administer FMLA, ADA accommodations, Hawaii TDI, workers’ compensation coordination, and other leaves.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for field, administrative, and professional positions.
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, employee changes, and offboarding.
- Process and maintain accurate employee information and documentation in the HRIS.
- Support benefits administration, Open Enrollment, compliance, reporting, and audits.
- Identify recurring issues or process gaps and recommend practical improvements.
- Respond to employee and manager needs with urgency, professionalism, and sound judgment.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Experience directly advising and coaching managers.
- Demonstrated experience handling employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
- Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Hawaii TDI, workers’ compensation, and related leave requirements.
- Full-cycle recruiting and onboarding experience.
- Experience using HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
- Strong communication, organization, judgment, and follow-through.
- Comfortable performing both consultative and administrative HR work.
- Ability to work in person on Oahu.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience supporting hourly employees in construction, restoration, facilities, hospitality, healthcare, or another operational environment.

You build credibility with managers, provide practical guidance, independently resolve day-to-day HR matters, maintain accurate documentation, and know when to escalate significant risk. You are equally comfortable advising a leader and personally completing the work that follows.
