Position Summary:

As Premier Restoration Hawaii continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to lead and execute the day-to-day Human Resources function for the organization.

This is a true working manager role. The Senior HR Manager is not simply overseeing HR processes from a distance, they are actively executing the work, partnering directly with leaders, solving employee issues, driving recruiting efforts, ensuring compliance, and helping maintain the structure, consistency, and accountability necessary to support a growing organization.

The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on. They are comfortable moving between executive conversations, employee relations matters, recruiting activities, compliance responsibilities, and operational problem-solving. They understand that effective HR leadership requires both sound judgment and personal ownership of execution.

Success in this role requires strong business judgment, a high level of accountability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and no two days look the same. We're looking for a practical, solutions-oriented HR leader who can assess issues objectively, navigate complexity with professionalism, and drive matters through resolution without creating unnecessary process, confusion, or administrative burden.

The Senior HR Manager serves as a trusted partner to operational and executive leadership while helping strengthen talent acquisition, employee relations, workforce planning, compliance, performance management, and the overall employee experience.

This position will contribute in the following ways:

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

• Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer management, and hiring execution 
• Partner with operational leaders to identify staffing needs and support workforce planning efforts
• Manage onboarding processes that create a consistent, organized, and professional employee experience
• Monitor recruiting and retention trends and recommend practical improvements

Employee Relations & Leadership Support

• Lead employee relations matters, investigations, corrective actions, and terminations with professionalism, consistency, and sound judgment
• Provide practical, business-focused HR guidance to leaders while balancing employee needs, compliance requirements, and operational realities
• Interpret and apply company policies consistently and fairly across the organization
• Navigate sensitive employee situations, drive issues to resolution, and escalate matters appropriately when necessary

HR Operations, Compliance & Risk Management

• Oversee core HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, leave administration, and policy administration
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and HRIS data integrity
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
• Manage leave and accommodation processes, including Workers' Compensation, TDI, FMLA, ADA, and related programs
• Identify operational and compliance risks and implement practical solutions that support organizational effectiveness

Business Partnership & Organizational Support

• Build strong working relationships with employees, operational leaders, and executive leadership
• Support leadership development, performance accountability, and workforce stability initiatives
• Contribute to HR reporting, workforce metrics, and organizational insights
• Partner closely with payroll and shared services teams to ensure accurate employee data and effective workforce support
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience
  • Working knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Ability to independently manage sensitive employee matters and exercise sound judgment
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build credibility and work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
  • Experience supporting construction, restoration, or other field-based operational environments
  • Experience supporting a growing or multi-site organization

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
  • Must have the ability to travel to neighbor islands 

Work Environment

  • Full-time, in-office position
  • Monday–Friday, typically 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Office/Warehouse environment
  • Minimal travel required
